The Health and Environmental Risk Assessment is a longitudinal, multi-disciplinary research project hosted by Harbor Branch/Florida Atlantic University designed to assess environmental and anthropogenic stressors affecting the health and long-term viability of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus). This study also produces powerful information concerning the health of the surrounding ecosystem in the Indian River Lagoon, Florida and Charleston, South Carolina. DPMMR staff has participated in this study for years and will attend again this August.
